Taylor Swift's songwriting in The Tortured Poets Department just came across as someone in a privileged position scratching the surface on big issues or coming off as painfully out of touch like in "I Hate It Here." Also, songs like "thanK you aIMee" come off as so mean girl-coded, that it left a horrid taste in my mouth. This is just my point of view on them.
